Dear SOS Kit Aid

I just wanted to say a massive thank you for the kit you sent to Mongolia at the end of last year.  Yesterday I went with the Mongolian Rugby Association to hand it over to girls and boys at a school in one of the most economically disadvantaged areas of Ulaanbaatar City.

For me, it was fantastic fun to do some of the training with them – they are alarmingly good and have already won games in the Asian league.  But it was also an incredible boost for the bilateral relationship.  In diplomacy, support and encouragement go so far but actual practical support of the kind that your donation provided makes a world of difference.  Being able to provide kit and equipment shows that we really mean it when we say we’re supporting these students.

Tom is doing a great job of promoting your work within FCDO and I know is in touch with you but I wanted to add my sincere thanks for the donation.  If you ever fancy a trip to Mongolia, you’re very welcome to come and see it in action!
